APiF: Please introduce your business in one short sentence.
Agnes & Lola: Off the beaten path with quirk and charm.
APiF: What inspired you to open this store and focus on Africa-inspire designs?
Agnes & Lola: My grandmother Agnes was my first fashion icon. She loved to dress up and had the most amazing sense of style. She wore these dramatic oversize sunglasses that are signature today and was never without lipstick! Even in her 80s. She was a writer, author of two children’s novels; so I guess I channeled that creative spirit into Agnes and Lola. It was also born from a need of wanting to showcase and support the unique talent from across the continent, to build an ethical company with foundations back home that contributes to SME’s across different countries.
APiF: Which designers do you carry?
Agnes & Lola: Laurence Airline Menswear, Jewel by Lisa’s J Label, Chichia London…to name just a few.

APiF: Do you ship worldwide?
Agnes & Lola: Yes! We do to most regions and are working on opening up channels in Africa once we get the logistics in place.
APiF: Any design you are particular excited about for Spring?
Agnes & Lola: We are always excited about our designers’ collections. Viv La Resistance has a beautiful and colorful collection that’s just spring perfection and quirky, it was inspired by Mr Brainwash…we cannot wait to share.
