Last week was quite some week for African Fashion in NYC. One day after the Toubab event I attended another pop-up store at Pikolinos that was organized by Adiree – the Africa Fashion Week NYC team.
Surrounded by shoes from the Maasai Project (I had blogged about it before – here) several designers presented their Africa-inspired collection. Some of the presented labels were:Demestiks New York by Reuben Reuben, Farai Simoyi, Khadija Moroccan Caftan NY and many more. It was quite a fun event and I cannot wait for Africa Fashion Week NY in July.
