Being a twin myself, I always love it when I stumble across others. Who is the first born? This is usually one of the interesting questions to ask. Why you might wonder as a non-twin? Because it matters, that’s why! As a second born myself I like the Nigerian way of looking at twins: They say that the second born tells its companion to go out there and check what life is like and let him/her know if it is worth coming out.
Anyhow, I noticed that there are quite a lot of African fashion twins – here is a selection. Have I missed anyone? Please comment below!
The Okunoren Twins (Nigeria) – I have never seen twins that look so different like Taiwo & Kehinde Okunoren. Chic, elegant menswear.
Dpipertwins – Danielle and Chantelle Dwomoh-Piper (Ghanaian/Caribbean). Trendy, sexy fashion with some glitter and prints in the mix.
Ayaan and Idyl Mohallim (Somalia) are the twins behind the brand Mataano. Elegant, timeless chic.
FELA FAGBURE AND FOLA FAGBURE
FELA FAGBURE AND FOLA FAGBURE Fela and Fola Fagbure (Nigeria) are behind the label Alex Folzi – a brand that redefined traveling in style and creates colorful, beautiful leather bags and vintage trunks.

Mima-te was founded by Nelly and Nelsa Guambe (Mozambique). They create new styles out of recycled clothing. I just did an interview with them that you can read here.
Love this post. I really want to have a set of twins :-)
Great feature Ekua! Thank you for this. Because of you I just found out about Nelly and Nelsa Guambe. Thanks dear :)
