OMG these designs look so fab and are simple, yet stunning. I just had to share them. The brand is called Raffia and was founded in 2013 by Madonna Kendona-Sowah. Being herself from the North of Ghana, Madonna wants to give more visibility to the textiles of this region like the “Gonja cloth” or “batakari”.
The brand “Raffia” was named after the Raffia palm “which is rough and dry in its raw state but can be used to make beautiful things. Northern Ghana is a place with fascinating customs, delicious food, stunning fabrics and gorgeous people and I felt the name Raffia captured that,” so explains Madonna on her website.
Do you love the designs as much as I do? Let me know in the comments which one is your favorite! I like them all :-)

The designs are so chic and classy.
I’m a massive fan of the Ghanaian culture and love everything from the food to the dancing to the clothing. I’ve often struggled to find brands who stock African printed clothing (the only one I’ve purchased from is Sika X). I’ll definitely be checking out this brand some more :) X
