I know all of us are dealing with the headache of what to wear during winter and here are designers sharing their Spring/Summer 2017 collections. But that’s just how it is, Fashion is always a step ahead. I wanted to share this collection for a while now, the SS17 looks from the by now quite established Nigerian designer Lisa Folawiyo.
Lisa is like an African version of June Ambrose to me. The pics of her outfits that she shares on Instagram are always fashionable, sometimes very fashion forward and a bit out there but overall stylish & cool.
What I like about this collection is that it’s very feminine and that most items – except maybe the very short dresses and the longer gowns – can be worn in a lot of different settings and they seem timeless. Also thumbs up that she incorporated the off-shoulder look – pretty sure that look is here to stay for a while! The only negative is that her designs can still not be ordered online. That’s just a bummer, but I guess that will change eventually?
