New collection, same designs? What I like about Duro Olowu is, that new collections are never completely different – there are always recognizable elements. Shapes like the beautiful dresses and prints, the overall aesthetic is repeated. Why not repeat what works? There are always some trendy elements – like for example the balloon sleeves – integrated into his existing shapes. Olowu’s consistency of excellence is an art by itself.I am also a fan of the photography and the background accessories: vintage sofa, room dividers or flowers and an African mask like in these images. Above all, there just isn’t anyone else who can combine different prints and make them compatible!
My all time favorites remain his dresses as they always compliment the feminine shape and at the same time I can imagine wearing them all the time for different occasions.
